I just got home from being out after the Boston College / Virginia Tech football game. It was an exciting game that wasn't decided until less than 30 seconds remained on the game clock. The Eagles prevailed 28 to 23 over the Hokies; however, having watching the entire game from the stands, I feel compelled to write that that game was the most lopsided 5 point contest I have ever witnessed. BC absolutely dominated VA Tech (cause VT really stands for the University of Vermont) in every aspect of the game - well, except for turnovers. Tech's only offense was the scrambling of their quarterback, Tyrod Taylor, and since that was the only thing they could do effectively on offense, defense (except for return poor Chris Crane interceptions for touchdowns), or special teams, Boston College didn't bother to employ a QB spy defense. In reality, BC scored 48 points to VA Tech's 3, but because of their turnovers 20 of those points were awarded to Tech.
This has become a great rivalry in the ACC, and after the game BC fans acknowledged it as such by storming the field. I was part of that storm and am damn proud I was. So far, this has been a rough year for me, I've sacrificed and lost of lot, unfortunately a lot of myself. Tonight, I feel that the Eagles won a little bit back for me.
