Make a difference!

Reason #546 I'll never run a marathon: My girlfriend, Courtney, recently signed up to run the 2012 Boston Marathon through for Brigham and Women's Hospital. As a member of "Team Brigham" she pledged to raise $5,500 for the organization in return for their sponsorship of her in the race.

$5,500!

Just so she can officially wake up at - I don't want to think about how early we're going to have to wake up - on Monday, April 15th and run 26.2 miles!

It's a good thing I have a soft spot for crazy.

Needless to say, I'll be making a sizable donation to the Courtney Holloway Marathon Foundation as someone's Christmas gift this year. And in the holiday spirit of giving, I encourage you to help her and others by donating to this worthy cause. Team Brigham's charitable efforts support Brigham and Women's Center for Community Health and Health Equity (CCHHE), which exists to ensure that everyone has access to effective, quality healthcare regardless of race, gender or socioeconomic means. Specifically, the CCHHE supports women with breast cancer, survivors of domestic violence and children living in poverty, among many, many others.

To give a wonderful gift to this worthy cause, and to help my girlfriend finish her sixth marathon, please visit  Courtney's fundraising page today.

Thank you and Happy Holidays!
