I love it when Skip Bayless calls him "Bosh Spice"!

After the Miami Heat's fifth straight loss last night, a loss in which starting power forward Chris Bosh had 7 points and I believe 4 rebounds in 40 minutes of playing time, the third musketeer made comments about his misuse within the Heat's offense, saying, "I can shoot the ball but I'm a big man. So I have to get it where big guys get it."

Really? Honestly, really? I mean... REALLY?!

What in the blue hell is Chris Bosh talking about?!

Chris Bosh is cut from the Kevin Garnett mold* - a power forward with small forward skills. He's been an all-star and became a name player by taking advantage of the athletic mismatches he creates at the power forward position to score points. But he has never, at least not in college or the NBA, been a post presence, offensively or defensively, which is one of the Heat's major weaknesses against good teams.

* I am in no way saying that Chris Bosh is a similar player to Kevin Garnett, but Garnett is the first prominent example of the new breed of lean, versatile, athletic power forwards in the NBA. Garnett's specialties have always been defense and rebounding, and he's developed a respectable offensive game through the years. Conversely, Bosh's specialty has always been his mid-range shooting ability, and he's shown flashes of being a solid rebounder while always been a defensive liability.
